Furniture Warehousing
Active Transport is a privately owned furniture transport and furniture warehousing company that was first established in 1989 by Gerhard Groenewald. Based in Pretoria, the company expanded in 1996 with the acquisition of Mini Furniture Removals. The following year we completed the building of an 800 m² furniture warehousing complex. This building is used for both storage and the day to day running of the business. The company operates throughout Southern Africa, handling both private and corporate removals and storage. You are probably familiar with our fleet of red and white removal trucks, all owned by the company and in excellent condition. All of the trucks are fitted with satellite tracking and the drivers are all in constant contact by cell phone.
Our furniture warehousing building is under 24/7 surveillance and is linked to Chubb Security with armed response. We can store your furniture and belongings for as little as a few days up to several months or even years. As each item is loaded for storage it is marked on a storage inventory, a copy of which is retained by yourself. When you eventually take delivery of your stored belongings we will place each item in its respective room as directed by you. Our furniture warehousing building is extremely secure, and we use specialised cartons for storage. For example we have plastic covers for beds, and even special wardrobe cartons to ensure crease free transportation of your wardrobe articles. All that you need do to obtain a quotation is to fill in the inventory form on these pages.
