• Packing Yourself – if you are packing s truck or container put the most valuable at the back, heaviest at the bottom and lightest at the top
• Check references – check out the references of the moving company before hiring them
• Hold a garage sale – get rid of any items that you don’t need to take with you by holding a garage or yard sale
• Essential items – pack a separate box with essential items like toilet paper, tea and paper plates and keep that box with you
