Removal Service

Active Transport is a privately owned furniture transport and removal service company that was established in 1989 by Gerhard Groenewald. The company was expanded in 1996 and the following year we completed our 800-m² warehouse in Pretoria. We use this building for the storage of furniture and belongings and as the base for our operations. We send weekly loads to all major cities of South Africa and its neighbouring countries, and can offer highly competitive prices to Cape Town, Durban and other major centres. Our removal service is backed up by a fleet of trucks ranging from 3-ton right up to 14-ton horse and trailer combinations. We are very much aware of the somewhat impersonal service offered by some of the larger removal companies in the country, and this is why we have limited our activities to a smaller rather than a larger fleet of vehicles, enabling us to offer a better class of service to our customers.

If you would like to obtain a free quotation for our removal service we will need you to complete the inventory of the items you wish to be moved and if necessary stored. You can find an inventory form on these web pages that you can fill in and submit electronically. All of our long-distance trucks are fitted with satellite tracking and we are in constant contact with our drivers by cell phone. Most of our customers have been referred to us by previous satisfied clients, many of whom have used our removal service more than once.
