Rental Trucks
We are currently living in a recession. Money is short. Banks are receiving bailouts. Companies are laying off personnel or going bust, houses are being foreclosed and it’s a case of every penny counts. No wonder then that many people who are having to make some sort of relocation are thinking in terms of rental trucks and handling the move themselves rather than laying out their all-too-short cash on an expensive move. There’s no argument that you can save a good deal of money by using rental trucks for your move. This is why Active Transport has several trucks that you can rent for your move.
There are two options open to you when you hire a truck and driver from Active Transport. You can either make use of the fixed rate per load, or you can hire that truck for so much per kilometre per day. Our rental trucks range from the smaller 3-ton truck, which is suitable for moving a small flat or apartment over a short distance. At the other end of the scale is the 14-ton horse and trailer combination, or pantechnicon. All of our rental trucks are fully enclosed, and are available from just one day to longer leased contracts. The vehicles have satellite tracking and we are in constant touch with the drivers over a cell phone. If you’d like extra labour we can supply it on request. Rental rates include the driver, the first 200kms, fuel and vehicle insurance, but do not include driver overtime, tollgates, extra crew and labour, goods in transit and insurance excess.
