One of the things that must be of concern to anyone making a long distance move that’s going to involve storage handling is undoubtedly how their furniture and other belongings are going to be stored – will they be safe from pilfering and protected against loss. Active Transport was founded nearly twenty years ago by Gerhard Groenewald in the Pretoria area. The company expanded a few years later with the acquisition of Mini Furniture Removals and we completed an 800m² storage handling warehouse in 1997. The majority of our staff have been with us for at least 10 years and are totally dedicated to the company.

It is not every time you move house that you’re going to need storage handling. It is more likely to be required when you’re moving overseas and have not yet finalised on your next property. In a case like this you will probably have our staff come and pack all of your goods into boxes – we recommend that you let us do this as it will facilitate clearing customs at your destination. Your belongings will be placed in our storage handling warehouse until we get the go-ahead to pack your container. All boxes are carefully itemised on an inventory when we pack them so that nothing goes astray. Our warehouse is linked to Chubb Security 24/7 with armed response.
