Truck Rental Services

Apart from the usual furniture removal and storage Active Transport also offers a range of truck rental services to the public. There are two routes that you can choose between when using our truck rental services – you can either hire a truck for so much per kilometre per day, or you can make use of a fixed rate per load, whichever suits you best. Vehicles available for rent start off at the bottom of the range with a 3-ton truck. This is suitable for relatively short distance moves for something like a flat or an apartment. At the top end of the scale is the 14-ton horse and trailer combination. Trucks are all fully enclosed and available from as little as one day right up to longer lease contracts. One of the features of Active Transport vehicles is that they all have active satellite tracking, enabling us to know exactly where each truck is at any given time. We are also in constant contact with our drivers by cell phone.

Rental rates for our truck rental services include the driver (we insist on your using our drivers), the first 200 kilometres, fuel and vehicle insurance. They do not include driver’s overtime or insurance of your goods. You will also be expected to pay for tollgates and any extra labour that we supply. Truck rental services are also the route to take if you’re starting up a new business and haven’t yet had the time of finances to start your own transport section, and we are currently helping out a number of companies with deliveries – contact us for further details of costs for loads or part loads.
